We are currently searching for Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver tile sets that will look good when viewed on a computer and people who can make such tile sets to be used in the PoKéQuesT MMORPG.
If you can do this, or if you know someone who can, please send an email to navarr@gtaero.net with the subject line “Tiles” or “Tile maker” and include information and links, etc. I’m sure you know the drill.
Please and Thank You. This is needed if we ever wish to finish this game =)
I had some spare time, so I sat down today and revised the way I was coding my maps. This new method allows for an infinite amount of maps both above and underneath the player, as well as animation. Right now, I haven’t even started coding the advanced animation techniques, but the final version will be able to provide crystal clear animations.

There are going to be a lot of changes around here, and one of the first is that we’re going to have a real blog.
Right now, we’re using a self-hosted WordPress as a replacement for Blogger. We may eventually program our own so as to better integrate it into the PoKéQuesT system.
We’ve also switched from 1&1’s hosting to DreamHost, and we hope to eventually purchase either a VPS or a Dedicated Server (we hope in the future.)
So, we’ll continue working on the project, and you guys, well, you just keep up the good work =)
I had planned not to work on PoKéQuesT until sometime during or after college, once I had garnished a further understanding of the basic and advanced concepts of computer science, networking, and the like. However, I may soon be pulling it out of hiatus and return it to Private Alpha as an Official Project of 子猫ちゃん.
Due to this, PoKéQuesT will be pursuing a different direction than what I had previously planned (until I have further knowledge of Computer Science, Networking, Game Programming, and etc.)
Please, do not request to be in Private Alpha. Only employees of 子猫ちゃん and a very few select people will be eligible to participate, due to bandwidth and hosting restrictions.
Despite this, however, we hope to see you in game soon!
Even with our hiatus on game development, our friends at Nnooo have fallen in love with our ideas, and along with Nintendo’s blessing, have acquired PoKéQuesT to be the first official Pokémon MMORPG planned with a full release to Nintendo DSi and Wii in Q3 2010.
Along with this acquisition, a business plan has been put in place. The game will retail for $25 on the DSi and $40 on the Wii. Subscriptions for online will be free for the first three months, and then continue at the price of $10 per month. More than Runescape, but less than WoW.
We greatly look forward to serving our fan’s even better in co-operation with Nnooo.

I had a spare moment, so I did do something for the fun of it.
If you happen to have or play Frets on Fire, then you can play our catchy little intro tune on it. It’s small, simple, and probably horribly put together since I did it myself.
You can download it below:
PoKéQuesT is going on an official hiatus.. not that it wasn’t on an unofficial one anyway >.>”
At this moment in time, I just do not have the time to work on it; plus laziness, plus a lack of staff; plus PokéGlobal pulling out of the PNC.
In the meantime, I recommend you watch Pokémon: Den of Ages. I’m a wonderful friend with the coder and founder, Silver and they’re a wonderful affiliate to us. (I’m also the SDBA and staff).
I’m sorry.. if PKQST still has a place in this world; I’ll be back to work on it one day, at the moment though; I just don’t have the time.
I have good news, and bad news, you can click the one you want to read first.
The good news is that we have two new programmers and that I’ve been working on some classes and some code to start getting a test server up, and that the PNC (committee in charge of the protocol) is getting more activity.
Lethargy is hitting me really hard, as well as the fact that I now have a girlfriend I need to pay more attention to, the fact that school is starting, the fact that I’m taking Japanese, and the fact that I need to get a job, will probably give me less and less time to work on it.
With two developers and the committee working hard, we should be able to start moving forward with or without my activity.
Thanks for all of your support through this. I know a lot of you are annoyed with how little that gets done around here, but we promise you, we are definitely working on it, and are definitely trying to clean up our acts.
